WWE Champion Injured At Royal Rumble 2025 WWE

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is said to have suffered injuries during the Royal Rumble 2025 premium live event.

On tonight’s show, Cody Rhodes retained the Undisputed WWE Title against Kevin Owens in a ladder match.

During the post-show, Jackie Redmond stated that Rhodes had suffered “multiple injuries” during the match.

Redmond stated that Rhodes wouldn’t be able to attend the post-show press conference as planned, but would still be at this coming Friday’s February 7 episode of WWE SmackDown in Memphis.

Redmond said Rhodes’ in-ring status could be “up in the air” and cast doubt on what that could mean for the road to WrestleMania.

After Rhodes’ win, the men’s WWE Royal Rumble match took place in the main event and was won by Jey Uso, last eliminating John Cena.

In post-show interviews after his win, Jey Uso seemed pretty adamant that he wants to challenge World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at WrestleMania 41, not Rhodes.

Reports have indicated that the plan for Rhodes at WrestleMania is for him to defend his title against John Cena.
