WWE Star Addresses Championship Win Being Reversed

A WWE star has addressed having his championship win reversed, with the star going on to lose following the match being restarted.

It appeared for a brief moment on Saturday (December 20) that Ethan Page was going to officially become a triple champion, with the NXT North American and AAA Mixed Tag Team champion pinning AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr at AAA Guerra de Titanes.

This pinfall came after Page hit the champion with a wrench while the referee’s back was turned, leading to Page celebrating in the ring with his music playing.

Unfortunately for Page, the decision didn’t stick, with the referee overturning the decision after Mr Iguana pointed out that Page was in possession of the wrench just before the referee could hand Page the gold.

After the match was restarted, El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr was able to hit Page with a Wagner Driver, leading to the champion retaining his gold.

In a new video shared by AAA on social media, Ethan Page addressed the result, which is officially listed as a loss for him, noting:

“I’m gonna assume you want to know what it felt like to be triple champion. I was triple champion, a wrestler unlike anyone on Earth today, and a man named Mr Iguana, who hangs out with a puppet, ruined everything.

“Not just for me, not just for my two beautiful children, my hot, sexy wife, no. He ruined it for the company that pays his bills, AAA. It’s all your fault, Iguana. 2026 is going to start awful.”
