A current WWE champion has pitched defending their title in other promotions outside of WWE, including STARDOM.
With Zelina Vega winning the WWE Women’s US Championship from Chelsea Green on the April 25 SmackDown episode, the titleholder has revealed some big goals for her first singles title reign.
Speaking with Good Karma Wrestling, Zelina Vega noted that she wants to defend her gold “however and wherever.”
Wanting to bring her WWE gold to STARDOM, AAA and NXT, Vega said:
“I want to defend this title as much as I can. We just had the merger with AAA, I’d love to take it out there. I’d love to wrestle Stephanie Vaquer there, that’d be super dope.
“I’d love to take it to NXT, wrestle Giulia there, you know, maybe Kelani (Jordan). I’d love to take it to STARDOM and wrestle out there.
“However and whenever, I’d love to defend this championship and show people who Zelina Vega is as a champion.”

Noting that she plans to establish herself as a singles star, Vega continued:
“You’ve seen Zelina as a manager, you’ve seen her as the singles competitor, the LWO version.
“There have been very different versions of me, but now seeing me as the United States Champion, I want to be a fighting champion. I put my stamp on this also.”
