WWE Botches Big Championship Match Announcement

WWE Botches Big Championship Match Announcement WWE

WWE botched its announcement for a big championship match announcement, made on this week’s edition of Raw.

GUNTHER recently hit 100 days as World Heavyweight Champion, with the Ring General winning the gold from Damian Priest at SummerSlam, following interference from Finn Balor.

Following Priest winning a #1 contender’s match WWE has now confirmed that Priest will face GUNTHER in a championship rematch at Survivor Series ‘War Games’.

WWE shared the graphic on the November 11 edition of Raw, which featured a notable issue.

The graphic featured the Damian Priest as the challenger, and GUNTHER as the champion… with the wrong title belt.

In the graphic, which you can view below, GUNTHER is holding the Intercontinental Championship, not the World Heavyweight Title.

Next week’s (November 18) Raw episode was taped after Monday’s (November 11) live broadcast in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This taping featured numerous shocks and surprises, including big returns and new alliances being formed.
