WWE Championship Change Officially Confirmed

WWE Championship Change Officially Confirmed WWE

A WWE Championship change has now been officially confirmed following tonight’s Raw show after an injury to the previous champion.

Tonight’s WWE Raw show saw Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of the Judgment Day defeat Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston of the New Day to capture the World Tag Team Championship.

However, Balor and McDonagh’s victory wasn’t the only tag title switch involving the Judgment Day on the show, as the future of the Women’s Tag Team Championship was also determined on the show.

Liv Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder on Raw two weeks ago, which will keep her out of action for a number of months, leading to questions around the future of her and Raquel Rodriguez’s reign as Women’s Tag Team Champions.

On tonight’s Raw, Finn Balor approached Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce backstage, pitching for Roxanne Perez to replace Liv as Raquel’s partner.

Aldis and Pearce eventually agreed, noting that Roxanne and Raquel would need to defend the titles at Evolution against a team from Raw, SmackDown and NXT to become the rightful champions.

However, it seems as though Roxanne and Raquel will be recognised as champions heading into that show, as WWE has now updated it’s roster page, officially recognising Roxanne Perez as one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
