WWE Star Breaks Silence After Losing Championship

Chelsea Green has now broken her silence after losing her WWE Women’s US Championship on Friday Night SmackDown.

Green defended her gold on the April 25 SmackDown episode against Zelina Vega.

The title ultimately changed hands following Vega hitting Green with a Code Red, ending the inaugural champion’s title reign.

Chelsea Green has now taken to Twitter to comment on her US Championship reign coming to an end.

Sharing WWE’s video of Vega’s victory, Green wrote:

I’ve been impeached. CHELS 2025🫡 🇺🇸

Green also shared a video of herself emotionally hanging up her presidential seal, which you can view below.

Chelsea Green was the first holder of the WWE Women’s US Championship, defeating Michin to win the gold at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, 2024.

While Vega both won the Queen’s Crown/Queen of the Ring tournament and held the Women’s Tag Team Championship in 2021, this Women’s US Title win marks the beginning of her first singles championship reign in WWE.

Friday was a good night for Vega’s household, with her husband Aleister Black also making his WWE return.
