During tonight’s episode of WWE Raw on the USA Network, a WWE Championship match was announced for next week’s edition of the show.
In a rematch from several pay-per-views in recent months, Randy Orton defends the WWE Title against former champion Drew McIntyre on November 16.
Orton defeated McIntyre for the title in a Hell in a Cell match at the October 25 pay-per-view after unsuccessfully challenging at SummerSlam and Clash of Champions.
On tonight’s Raw, Orton and McIntyre were on opposite sides in a six-man tag team match. McIntyre was with Raw Tag Team Champions the New Day, whereas Orton’s team consisted of himself, John Morrison, and Money in the Bank holder The Miz.
Orton didn’t get involved at all during the match, which was won by McIntyre who pinned John Morrison following a Claymore.
Also announced for next week’s episode of Raw is a Tag Team Championship match with New Day defending against the Hurt Business’ Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin.
