A notable WWE star has won a championship in another promotion during his highly anticipated return to the ring.
Amid his WWE absence, Omos was announced for a GHC Tag Team Championship match at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s The New Year 2025 show.
The Japanese promotion has been pushing Omos’ appearance hard, sharing numerous now-viral videos of the 7ft3 star.
Omos ultimately did return to the ring on the January 1 show, teaming with Jack Morris to challenge for Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura’s gold.
The WWE star was ultimately victorious, winning the GHC Tag Team Championship in his Pro Wrestling NOAH debut.
Following the bout, Morris and Omos stated in a backstage interview that there isn’t a man on the planet who could beat them.

This marked the Nigerian Giant’s first match since competing in last April’s WWE Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Omos’ only televised WWE matches have been battle royals (and Royal Rumbles) since losing to Seth Rollins at Backlash 2023.
