WWE has a habit of doing weird things and this is one of them, as it has once again seemingly changed the name of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
It was originally just called Extreme Rules, but that was then changed to ‘Extreme Rules: The Horror Show’, which is an appropriate tagline considering the company’s business practices as of late.
However, that’s been slightly rearranged and it’s now being referred to as ‘The Horror Show at Extreme Rules’ instead of ‘Extreme Rules: The Horror Show’.
This has been specifically changed if you go into the previews of any of the matches confirmed for the show on WWE.com, for example:
“Dolph Ziggler arrived on Raw determined to remind Drew McIntyre who he owes for his rise to the pinnacle of sports-entertainment. The Showoff will have the opportunity to back up his words at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules in a match against the Scottish Superstar for the WWE Title.”
The confirmed card is below, but the company is rumoured to be adding plenty more matches by the time July 19 comes around:
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler – WWE Championship
- Asuka (c) vs. Sasha Banks – Raw Women’s Championship
- Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt – Swamp Fight
- Bayley (c) vs. Nikki Cross – SmackDown Women’s Championship
