WWE Changing Date Of John Cena’s Final Match To Clash With AEW? WWE/AEW

WWE is potentially changing the date of John Cena’s final match to clash with the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view.

John Cena has just 4 months left on his WWE retirement tour, with him set to compete in his final match in December, rounding out his final year in the industry.

Cena’s final match is likely set to take place in Boston at a Saturday Night’s Main Event show, which was reportedly planned to take place on December 13.

However, per Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, there has been discussions about potentially moving the date of Cena’s last match to December 27 instead.

This would put the show featuring Cena’s final match head-to-head with the AEW Worlds End event taking place that day in Chicago.

He said:

“Originally, the final John Cena match was gonna be in early December at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

“This is not confirmed, but it does look like there is now a discussion that that date will be moved so it will be head-to-head with AEW Worlds End.”

WWE is also reportedly planning a premium live event on September 20 in Indianapolis that has not yet been announced, which would go head-to-head with AEW All Out.
