Top WWE Star Returning Soon After 7 Months Out

After seven months away from WWE television, it looks like the company is gearing up for the return of one of its top stars.

Charlotte Flair hasn’t been seen in the ring since losing the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash in May.

Whilst her absence has been largely unexplained, with Ric Flair even saying that “she keeps everything to herself”, her husband, Andrade El Idolo, did recently say that Flair had taken “time off due to personal reasons.”

We’ve seen indications that Flair is gearing up for an in-ring return.

In a recent Instagram photo, she was seen in a wrestling ring with Alba Fyre and Zoey Stark.

Now, in the current Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Dave Meltzer has provided an update from the WWE perspective, saying:

“Creative is making plans for the Charlotte Flair return.”

As WWE approaches its Road to WrestleMania season with it being likely that Ronda Rousey will face Raquel Rodriguez at Royal Rumble 2023, there’ll be a lot of anticipation in the plans for a returning Charlotte Flair.
