WWE Hall Of Famer Slaps Back At ‘Most Stupid’ Charlotte Flair Criticism

WWE Hall Of Famer Slaps Back At ‘Most Stupid’ Charlotte Flair Criticism WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has slapped back at the “most stupid thing” about the criticism of Charlotte Flair in the women’s championship picture.

Since making her return in December 2022 after a break of seven months, Charlotte Flair has been the SmackDown Women’s Champion and will face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.

Ric Flair has addressed the criticism that Charlotte receives over her position in the WWE, referring to her as “the best wrestler in the business today.”

Speaking on his To Be The Man podcast, the Nature Boy said:

“If someone is off for a legitimate reason and they’re the best wrestler in the business, why aren’t they in the main event?

“In the business, men or women. That’s what they do, they’re in the main event.”

He would then go on to compare Flair’s return to Stone Cold Steve Austin, noting:

“Steve Austin came back for a year, came back and did he start at the bottom of the card? He ain’t wrestled in 20 years and they wanted him to main-event WrestleMania this year.

“What the hell? That’s the most stupid thing in the world. Why wouldn’t the best performer in the company, regardless of time off or time on, not be in the main event? Give me a break.”

He would also reveal that other industry veterans also praise the achievements of Charlotte Flair, saying that Bret Hart is among the names.

Ric Flair would conclude by saying that Charlotte will continue to be “the greatest until the day she doesn’t want to be.”

Charlotte Flair has recently teased the idea of a match with another generational WWE talent, in this case Dominik Mysterio.

She has also discussed her love of the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny who is set to make a return when WWE Backlash comes to his home.
