WWE Believes New Signing Is ‘Done Deal’

WWE Believes New Signing Is ‘Done Deal’ WWE

In the latest update in all the talk of Chelsea Green returning to WWE, the company reportedly believes it is a “done deal”.

Green previously wrestled in WWE under both the main roster and NXT brands, before being released from her contract in April 2021 after several months of inactivity.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Green is now well and truly back on WWE’s radar, and the company is talking as if the deal is done.

He explained:

“WWE bound, most likely. It’s been talked about within the company as it’s something that is happening.

“I don’t know if she’s put pen to paper, but she did just finish up with IMPACT.  So it makes sense. Presumably that says she’s in.

“Can’t confirm a contract signing, but can confirm that they are talking about it as if it is a done deal, within the company.”

After leaving WWE, Green appeared for stints in both Ring Of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling.

She teamed up with IMPACT’s Deonna Purrazzo to form the tag team VXT, winning the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.

WrestleVotes, who first reported WWE’s interest in a Green return, recently added that bringing in her husband Matt Cardona as a “two-for-one” type deal is also a possibility.

Meltzer also said on WOR earlier that JONAH (Bronson Reed) has been made an offer by WWE.
