WWE Files Trademark Ahead Of New Show WWE

WWE has filed a new trademark application with the USPTO ahead of a new event set to take place later this year.

WWE has announced that the company will bring Clash in Italy to the country for the first time in company history.

A new filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office has recently been submitted that is seemingly related to the name associated with some international PLEs.

Under US Serial Number 99657656, the application submitted on February 16 to the USPTO covers the term ‘WWE CLASH’.

The Goods and Services category for the application covers the following:

IC 041: Entertainment services, namely, a show about professional wrestling;

entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media;

providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media;

providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media;

providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information.

On the international front, there have been two Clash shows to date, in Cardiff, Wales, back in 2022, and in August of last year.

With the first PLE in Italy now announced, that event bears the logo “WWE Clash” in graphics shared on Twitter.

August 2024 saw the first Premium Live Event to be held in Germany, with Bash in Berlin taking place at the Uber Arena.

The word has been used previously, featuring in WWE Clash of Champions between 2016 and 2020.
