Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will face each other once again and this time it’ll be at WWE SummerSlam in Detroit, Michigan.
Their upcoming match on August 5, 2023, will be the third time the pair have faced each other in singles matches.
Their first bout together was at WWE Backlash on May 6 in Puerto Rico, with Rhodes being victorious.
Lesnar would secure the win at WWE Night of Champions on May 27 in Jeddah by referee stoppage.
With the stakes highs and the record currently a 1-1, details for their upcoming match at SummerSlam have emerged.
According to WRKD Wrestling, even though it was announced as such on Raw last night, the match won’t be a straight forward singles match, stating:
“While not announced on #WWERaw, a stipulation will be added to Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes at #SummerSlam.”
Lesnar responded to Rhodes’ demand for a match at WWE SummerSlam on the July 17 episode of Raw in footage that can be seen below this news story.
AEW’s Dustin Rhodes reacted to Lesnar’s attack on Cody in a post on social media.
Peacock also released the trailer for the upcoming Becoming Cody Rhodes documentary which will premiere on July 31.
Last night’s WWE Raw also saw a title change with Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville becoming the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
