Cody Rhodes Comments On Former WWE Star’s ‘Comeback’ Video WWE

Cody Rhodes has commented on a recent ‘comeback’ video posted on social media by Matt Cardona, formerly WWE’s Zack Ryder.

In April 2024, Cardona suffered a torn pectoral muscle during a match and had to undergo surgery to repair the damage.

The injury wouldn’t keep him away from the business, however, with Cardona going on the become the General Manager of GCW along with other appearances.

In July, he was backstage at WWE Money in the Bank, sharing a photo with Chelsea Green and commenting after he loss in the women’s ladder match.

Recently, Cardona shared a ‘comeback’ video on Twitter which can be seen below this news story with the comment:

“This was just supposed to be my comeback from injury video, but it’s so much more than that…It’s my career video…My LIFE video.

“The office has counted me out. The fans have counted me out. I’ve even counted myself out! But I always come back. It’s not over until I quit…and I’ll never quit!

“I am “The Complete” Matt Cardona.

“If you’ve ever supported me, please share this video.”

The video features Cardona throughout his career and introduces us to “The Complete” Matt Cardona with the star asking “when is enough enough?”

He would also reflect on “the only thing harder than getting over” and whether he has “what it takes to stay over.”

We see footage of his post-WWE career, his death match work and his rise on the independent scene before we get a look at his new ring gear.

Cody Rhodes has commented on the video, reposting it on Twitter, writing:

“Complete

“He’s owned that scene, can’t wait to see what my friend does next.”

With WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event taking place in Long Island, Chelsea Green has suggested a return for Cardona.

The free agent has recently said that he wants to end his wrestling career in WWE, having been released in April 2020 after fifteen years.
