When it comes to the AEW and WWE locker rooms at least, Cody Rhodes says there is no ‘real war’ going on.
While Tony Khan may have raised eyebrows with recent comments regarding a “real war” between WWE and AEW, it seems Cody Rhodes has a difference of opinion.
Appearing on Hot 97 in a chat with Peter Rosenberg, Cody Rhodes discussed a myriad of topics including his ‘excursion’ away from WWE to found what would eventually become rival wrestling promotion, AEW.
Sharing his perspective from the locker room, Rhodes:
“Again, there’s no war. Especially amongst locker rooms, when you’re putting your boots on girls and boys, we’re bonded. We’re brothers and sisters. There’s no war.”
While host Peter Rosenberg went on to note that he feels that detail is “a real point that is missed by fans,” Cody continued to elaborate had nothing but positive things to say about his former colleagues.
Citing a more mentor style relationship with some of the wrestlers in AEW, Cody noted that Ricky Starks and Wardlow stuck out as people he was actually friends with.
Cody Rhodes is set to main event WrestleMania but will he face Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn or even both?
