Truth Behind Cody Rhodes & Triple H WWE Relationship Revealed

Truth Behind Cody Rhodes & Triple H WWE Relationship Revealed WWE

Since his return at WrestleMania 38, WWE fans have seen the clear friendship between Cody Rhodes and Triple H.

Even during his time in AEW, where he famously smashed a throne with a sledgehammer, Rhodes spoke highly of his ‘role model’ Triple H.

More recently, Rhodes has discussed Triple H’s mindset as a wrestling veteran and guiding force in WWE, revealing his ‘open mind’ and willingness to ‘have fun.’

Rhodes would become Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania 40 in April 2024, with it later being revealed that Triple H, Nick Khan and Bruce Prichard had given him the watch that his father, Dusty Rhodes, had pawned so that the future American Nightmare could go to acting school.

Kevin Nash has now revealed a facet of the relationship between Rhodes and Triple H while speaking on the Kliq This podcast, saying:

“I think that Paul’s affection and loyalty to Cody is because Cody is that grinder. If Cody was working [1-2-3] Kid on our card, Cody would work 312 days across Sean. Those would have been unbelievable to watch.”

During the WrestleMania 40 post-show press conference, Rhodes touched upon having the most matches in WWE up to that point.

According to Cagematch, he currently stands at 69 matches for 2024 with his most recent being the WWE Bash in Berlin victory over Kevin Owens at the time of writing.

Highlights from the championship match at the August 31 WWE PLE can be seen below this news story.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Nash was less than complimentary about Logan Paul stating that the influencer was “not one of the boys” which solicited its own response from the former WWE United States Champion.
