WWE Star Issues Challenge After Collaboration Announcement

WWE Star Issues Challenge After Collaboration Announcement WWE

Following the announcement of a merchandise announcement between WWE and the Manchester City soccer team, Wade Barrett has reacted.

On June 27, the collaboration between WWE and the top English soccer team was announced, with it being stated that:

“The new collection will include six T-shirts featuring Manchester City and WWE, such as a CM Punk “Best Team in the Land and All the World” shirt and other tees featuring Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin design inspiration.”

Lynch’s WWE contract reportedly expired on June 1, with the star technically being a ‘free agent’ and Triple H stating she was on a ‘hiatus’.

WWE’s Wade Barrett has reacted to the announcement, laying out a challenge to Manchester City, tweeting:

“It’s the beautiful game. I’d like to submit a @WWE XI to challenge @ManCity.

“I will be playing at Centre Back in a 5-1-3-1 formation.

“@MichaelCole can be our @TedLasso.

“Who else makes the WWE line up?”

He would go on to reveal his own line-up, including mascots, in a follow up tweet that read:

“First draft of the line-up. A heavy European bias from the selectors has left the US-based media up in arms.

“Questions have been raised about Vinci & Kaiser’s ability to play alongside one another.

“@FinnBalor is reportedly furious at being overlooked after an outstanding season at club level.

“‘These were difficult decisions, and the door isn’t closed’ according to the Manager.”

According to the graphic, which can be seen below, Michael Cole is, indeed, the manager of the WWE XI line up.

Corey Graves, Barrett’s WWE SmackDown commentary partner, is the coach.

The role of mascots will be fulfilled by Elton Prince and Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly.

Dominik Mysterio would describe the team as “ass cheeks” in a reply to the line up.

Triple H has also shared his thoughts on the brand partnership, saying he’s “excited to see [it] come to life.”
