WWE Confirms Major Return For NXT Next Week

Tonight at NXT TakeOver: XXX, a video package aired for former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who it was confirmed will be returning on next week’s show.

Tommaso Ciampa has not been seen on NXT TV in over two months. His final appearance and match came at TakeOver: In Your House in June were Ciampa was squashed by Karrion Kross.

Many people speculated that we’d actually seen the last of Tommaso Ciampa in the black and gold brand following his loss to Kross at TakeOver and subsequent absence from TV.

This speculation intensified when RETRIBUTION debuted on WWE TV at the beginning of August, as many people speculated that Ciampa would be part of the new faction.

There is no word on what Ciampa is going to be doing following this return on Wednesday, but WrestleTalk will have live coverage of that show.
