With Triple H taking over as WWE’s Chief Content Officer last July, many changes have been made to the show, including the premium live event schedule.
Notable, Triple H has added numerous international events, such as Clash at the Castle in Cardiff and Elimination Chamber in Montreal, to the calendar, while various other events have been discontinued.
Previously, it had been reported that WWE’s ‘WrestleMania Backlash’ event it has held for the previous two years would be discontinued, instead returning to simply ‘Backlash’ as it had been prior.
Well, WWE today announced that the show would indeed be once again simply known as Backlash, taking place on May 6 of this year.
On top of that, WWE announced that the event will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and be hosted by GRAMMY award winning artist Bad Bunny.
This isn’t the only event that Triple H has brought back, as King of the Ring is set to return to WWE’s calendar in May, under the new name ‘King and Queen of the Ring’.
The event will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27.
While not confirmed, it has been rumoured that the Hell In A Cell event will be discontinued, with it not currently listed on WWE’s schedule.
