WWE Star Congratulates Samoa Joe On AEW World Championship Win WWE/AEW

A WWE Hall of Famer has congratulated Samoa Joe on his AEW World Championship win this past weekend.

With help from The Opps and HOOK reuniting with the group, Joe defeated Hangman Adam Page in a steel cage match for the AEW World Title in the main event of Full Gear.

Now, WWE NXT announcer Booker T, who has some history with Joe from their days in TNA, has congratulated Joe on becoming a two-time AEW World Champion.

On his Hall of Fame show, Booker said:

“Congrats. Big congratulations to Samoa Joe, going out there and capturing the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

“I said Tony Khan was gonna do this for Joe. I don’t know if you remember that, but I said, Joe is that soldier, this guy that you can always rely on, the guy that you really wanna put a stamp and that mark on his career. For him to actually do this is big for Samoa Joe. I’m proud of that dude man.

“I got a chance to mix it up with Joe right here in Houston, Texas. That was one of the only matches that I bled in. By my choice. I wanted to make sure I highlighted Samoa Joe and his accomplishments as well, because I always thought that dude was the real deal.

“Always thought Samoa Joe was the real deal, and I had such a great time working with Joe. Such a great time hanging out with Joe in Amsterdam. Good dude, man. Good things happen to good people, and I’m just glad to see Samoa Joe become the World Champ.”
