WWE Considering Change To WrestleMania 42 Plans

WWE Considering Change To WrestleMania 42 Plans WWE

The April 22 episode of NXT has reportedly led WWE to consider making a change to their plans for WrestleMania 42 week.

While it was once simply a pay-per-view event on a Sunday night, WrestleMania has grown in scope throughout the years, with not only the event itself spanning two nights but several events being held throughout the week of WWE’s Grandest Stage of Them All.

While the Raw after WrestleMania has become a staple of WWE’s plans, this year saw WWE extend the festivities to Tuesday night’s NXT – which emanated from the Bleaulife Theater in Las Vegas.

While the show featured three championship matches and a surprise appearance from TNA World Champion Joe Hendry, WWE reportedly noticed that the crowd in Vegas were “tired” according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, leading to a change of approach for next year’s WrestleMania week being discussed.

Alvarez said:

“It did not go unnoticed by WWE. It appears that next year when they do WrestleMania in New Orleans, it’s probably not gonna last through NXT.

“NXT’s probably gonna be back at the Performance Center. There is some thought of running the NXT before WrestleMania weekend in New Orleans.”
