WWE Considering ‘Serious Push’ For Montez Ford

WWE is reportedly considering giving Street Profits member and former tag team champion Montez Ford a “serious push”.

As reported by GiveMeSport, Ford’s recent SmackDown main event against Universal Champion Roman Reigns was viewed as a “trial” for him as a singles wrestler, which he’s said to have “passed with flying colors”.

It had been reported previously that WWE considered splitting the Street Profits in the recent WWE Draft, and having Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins on separate brands, with the objective behind that idea being kickstarting Ford’s push.

GiveMeSport’s report notes that, despite the decision to keep them together, the door for Ford to break out in the singles division is still open.

WWE always wanted to move Ford to Raw in the draft, 1) to keep on the same show as his real-life wife Bianca Belair, and 2) because higher-ups believe he has more top talent to work with on the red brand.

GiveMeSport learned that WWE management has been very impressed with the hard work Ford and Dawkins have been putting in to improve, and specifically with Ford’s “conduct and performances over the last few months”.
