With SummerSlam set to take place in Nashville tomorrow night, a lot of questions have been asked about any potential weather issues effecting the show.
WWE famously had to delay the first night of WrestleMania 37 due to a weather delay, with the stars cutting unscripted promos backstage to fill the time during the delay.
PWInsider has provided an update on SummerSlam, noting that after the delay back at WrestleMania 37, WWE is prepared for the possibility of SummerSlam being paused due to the weather. PWInsider claims that, if they do have to deal with such an occurrence, that there will be an indoor area ready that would serve the same function as the WWE pre-show panel show area outside among the fans.
If WWE is required to pause SummerSlam due to the weather, they can go to the backstage set-up area to broadcast discussions, as well as bring talents over for interviews as a way to help kill time until they can continue with the show.
Obviously the hope is that this won’t be necessary, but the company do have a contingency plan in place should such a situation occur.
