An update has emerged on the WWE status of Dijak, who was called up to the main roster during the 2024 WWE Draft.
Ahead of the WWE Draft, it was reported that there had been pitches for Dijak to have a feud over the summer with NXT Champion Trick Williams, however uncertainty surrounding Dijak’s contract status left these plans up in the air.
It appears that this pitched feud will not go ahead, with Dijak selected by WWE Raw in a draft pick made after Monday’s (April 29) edition of Raw went off the air.
Per Fightful Select, as of Tuesday morning after being drafted to the main roster, Dijak had yet to re-sign or be approached by WWE about a new deal.
The report noted that both sides are ‘confident’ that a new deal will be agreed upon. Triple H and Shawn Michaels are reportedly vocal supporters of Dijak, and Dijak’s social media usage has drawn praise from most attached to the NXT brand.
While there weren’t any creative plans in place for Dijak as of Monday evening, it was reported that the creative team had been actively pitching ideas for Dijak’s call-up.
Fightful also noted that while there has been some outside interest in Dijak, sources within AEW expect Dijak to re-sign with WWE.
Dijak previously wrestled on the main roster as part of the Retribution faction, ahead of his return to NXT in October 2022.
