WWE Star Keeping Contract Status ‘Secretive’ Update

WWE Star Keeping Contract Status ‘Secretive’ Update WWE

An update has emerged on Kevin Owens’ WWE status, following recent contract negotiations and speculation about his future.

With Owens previously confirming that his WWE deal is up in early 2025, recent reports have indicated that Owens is in talks with the company about a potential new contract.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, those close to the situation have been keeping Owens’ exact status a secret.

Meltzer also addressed rumors that Owens quietly re-signed before Bash In Berlin, writing:

Regarding Owens and his contract, there are a lot of different stories going around. There are reports that he’s close to signing, or hasn’t signed, could go to AEW in January when his deal is up.

I do know that multiple people in wrestling have said dating back to Bash in Berlin that they believed he’s signed but it’s being kept quiet, but that’s wrestling rumors that we haven’t been able to directly confirm.

Those closest to the situation have not said anything about any of the different versions of the story out and very clearly whatever the story is, he wants it secretive for now

Owens is currently involved in a top storyline, with the popular star attacking Cody Rhodes following the Bad Blood premium live event, and attacking Randy Orton on the following episode of SmackDown.

Kevin Owens shared a video on social media addressing these attacks, which you can read more about right here.
