UPDATE: Corey Graves has teased having ‘a lot to say’ on this week’s NXT episode, click here to read more.
Corey Graves recently took to social media to express his thoughts on the recent changes to the WWE commentary teams.
With WWE Raw moving to Netflix at the start of 2025, Graves found himself separated from Michael Cole as the veteran announcer returned to Monday nights alongside Pat McAfee.
The previous WWE Raw commentary team of Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett would shift to SmackDown with Graves left out of the main show mix.
With Graves back on WWE NXT last week, alongside Booker T and Vic Joseph, he took to Twitter to seemingly voice his frustration.
PW Insider has now provided further insight into the issues Graves has with the changes in WWE, stating that “there had been rumblings over the last several weeks that Graves wasn’t happy with his positioning within the company.”
The reference to “being told you’re not famous enough for your own job” is noted as a potential allusion to Graves noting having the name recognition of either Pat McAfee or Joe Tessitore.
Graves was forced to retire as a wrestler in December 2014 and would transition into commentary duties across the WWE brands.
At the time of writing, Graves is scheduled for the January 14 episode of WWE NXT with that episode airing on The CW Network in the US according to PW Insider’s sources.
