WWE Star Launches ‘Countdown’ Ahead Of Breaking Record

Ahead of breaking a record, WWE NXT star Oba Femi has launched a “countdown” for his NXT North American Championship reign.

Oba Femi captured the NXT North American Championship on the January 9 episode when he cashed in his Breakout Tournament contract on Dragon Lee.

Since then, Femi has defended his title against a litany of challengers, such as Tony D’Angelo, Wes Lee, Josh Briggs, Dijak and TNA Wrestling star Hammerstone.

Now, Femi is only 17 days from breaking the record for the longest-reigning NXT North American Champion in the title’s history.

On September 17, Oba Femi posted a video to launch a countdown for his fans leading up to his upcoming accomplishment. He wrote:

Let it be known, Oba Feminists this is the home stretch.

Wes Lee currently holds the record with a 260-day NXT North American Championship reign.
