Here’s How Far In Advance WWE Has Planned Storylines WWE

WWE CEO and President Nick Khan has provided some insight into the company’s creative workings, ahead of WrestleMania 39.

The biggest wrestling show of the year takes place this weekend, across April 1 and 2 at California’s SoFi Stadium.

Speaking on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Khan confirmed that while WWE is currently focusing on WrestleMania, the creative team has planned out storylines months in advance.

Commenting on creative plans, Khan said:

“Months in advance. Months, months, months in advance. If you said now, ‘where is the creative team with their process?’ They are months ahead of WrestleMania.

“Obviously, a huge focus on Saturday and Sunday to make sure we can execute what the plan is, but they’re months ahead and they know that’s the way it should be because 52 weeks a year, three to four programs a week, if you’re not months ahead, you’re going to get caught.”

Several current storylines have been praised for their attention to detail and continuity, including the implosion of the Bloodline, with cracks beginning to show in the faction following Sami Zayn turning on Roman Reigns in January.

A number of big stories are expected to come to an end at the Show of Shows, with many predicting that Cody Rhodes will be the star to finally dethrone Reigns and win the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.

Plans for several matches at WrestleMania have changed in recent months, with the original plans for the women’s title matches at the event recently being revealed.
