A crossover star has now finished up with WWE, with it announced that he will be heading back to his home promotion.
With WWE and Japanese promotion Pro Wrestling NOAH establishing a working relationship, we’ve seen talent crossover in both directions.
While WWE’s Omos had a run with NOAH in January, NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura had the longer excursion, wrestling for the WWE NXT brand since November 2024.
After almost six months with NXT, Inamura’s WWE run is coming to an end, with Inamura announcing on the May 6 NXT episode that he’s heading back to Japan.
Inamura announced this in a backstage segment, during which he told Josh Briggs he wishes he could’ve been a better tag-team partner for him.

Shawn Michaels announced the WWE arrival of Yoshiki Inamura on November 7, 2024, ahead of Inamura’s debut for the company at the November 16, 2024 NXT house show.
During this event, he and Josh Briggs challenged for Nathan Frazer and Axiom’s NXT Tag Team Championship.
Inamura wrestled at numerous NXT events during his excursion, notably competing at February’s Vengeance Day Premium Live Event, once again challenging for the tag title.
He also competed on WWE Speed, losing to Ivar at the taping ahead of the February 28 SmackDown episode.
His last WWE in-ring appearance saw him compete in the May 6 NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Battle Royal, which was ultimately won by Myles Borne.
