WWE Potentially Changing Crown Jewel Champion Vs Champion Matches Update

WWE Potentially Changing Crown Jewel Champion Vs Champion Matches Update WWE

An update has emerged on the possibility of the champion vs champion matches for WWE Crown Jewel changing ahead of the November 2 show.

Triple H made a huge announcement during Bad Blood, revealing that both the men’s and women’s world champions will face off in singles matches to determine the inaugural Crown Jewel Champions for the male and female rosters.

While GUNTHER was set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn on Raw, WWE shared a poster prior to the show advertising GUNTHER vs WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, and Women’s Champion Nia Jax vs Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.

With GUNTHER defeating Zayn on Raw, it appears that the Ring General is indeed on route to facing Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.

There has been some speculation that the women’s Crown Jewel Championship match could change ahead of the show, with Rhea Ripley targeting Liv Morgan, and Tiffany Stratton holding the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Dave Meltzer has now noted that there’s a zero percent chance that Saudi Arabia promotes a poster that is intended to be a swerve, stating the following on Wrestling Observer Radio:

“WWE, maybe (would swerve fans after releasing the poster). Saudi Arabia, zero percent chance.

“They do not put posters up for anything there and do it to swerve you. This is an American pro-wrestling mentality, and this poster was up in Saudi Arabia.

“It’s in their publicity, yes. They publicized the show with this poster before Raw started. Once I saw that I thought “there’s not a chance (Sami Zayn is winning).”

This would indicate that WWE doesn’t plan to change these champion vs champion matches, with GUNTHER vs Cody Rhodes and Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan actually planned for the show.
