At WWE Stomping Grounds on Sunday, Drew Gulak captured the Cruiserweight Championship in a triple-threat match featuring Akira Tozawa, and reigning champion Tony Nese.
WWE’s next pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, is set to take place on July, 14. Tony Nese defeated Akira Tozawa this week on 205 Live to earn a shot to Drew Gulak at the upcoming pay-per-view.
Pending Drew Gulak does not defend his newly-won Cruiserweight Championship on 205 Live before July 14th, Extreme Rules will mark his first title defence.
Also confirmed for the show yesterday was Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship and Kofi Kingston defending his WWE Championship against Raw’s Samoa Joe.
