Buddy Murphy and Cedric Alexander have moved up to the main roster, with the latter being unsuccessful in his first match on Raw against Cesaro on Monday Night. However, 205 Live must live on, and a new star was made last night as Ariya Daivari successfully defeated Oney Lorcan to earn a future Cruiserweight Championship match.
Daivari has been on somewhat of a roll of late, winning all three of his matches in 2019. He continued this momentum by besting 205 Live newcomer and NXT star Oney Lorcan to become the number one contender to the Cruiserweight Championship.
This will be Nese’s second defence of the title he won at WrestleMania 35. The week after WrestleMania, he defended the championship against the former Champion, Buddy Murphy.
