Real Reason WWE Hall Of Famer Missed TNA Slammiversary

The reason a WWE Hall of Famer was absent from TNA Slammiversary during their tag team partner’s future match announcement has been revealed.

The July 20 pay-per-view saw Bully Ray appear after The Hardys captured the TNA World Tag Team Championship in a four-way ladder match.

Bully Ray’s appearance, as can be seen below this news story (and here on Twitter), would see him set up a match “one last time” to take place at TNA Bound for Glory in October.

While Bully Ray would reference his “brother” during the promo, D-Von would be absent from the event and the reason has now been revealed.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray revealed that D-Von had to deal with a family matter, saying:

“I wish my brother was by my side last night, but he had a very important family matter that he just couldn’t get out of.

“We talked, and we both felt that last night was just too important to miss—like catching lightning in a bottle.

“We wanted to make a big surprise happen, and D-Von will definitely be there at Bound for Glory in Boston.”

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer JBL has also revealed that he was scheduled to be at TNA Slammiversary until plans were changed.

AJ Styles made his TNA Wrestling return, endorsing new X Division Champion Leon Slater, with it now being revealed that there were other plans in place for the WWE star.
