A WWE Hall of Famer has addressed returning to the ring for one more match, with a challenge subsequently being issued in TNA Wrestling.

At TNA Slammiversary, Bully Ray challenged The Hardys on behalf of Team 3D (the Dudley Boyz) to one more match with that match set to take place in October.

Interestingly, D-Von Dudley was asked about an in-ring return and the opponents he would trust for such a match during an interview which took place before this challenge.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet ahead of the June 20 TNA Slammiversary, D-Von would discuss the possibility of stepping back into the ring for the first time since April 2024.

The WWE Hall of Famer would assert that he would return for one more match, naming the current TNA Wrestling stars that he trusts, saying:

“I would say, if I was to do one, it would be one. I would say one more.

“If I was to do anything in the ring again, it would have to be with Matt and Jeff. I would say Edge and Christian too, but they’re in the other organization, AEW, and I don’t think that would ever happen.

“(Matt & Jeff Hardy) are the only two I trust, even though I think Jeff is out of his damn mind. But those are the only two I would trust for my body on the line, and go in there one more time.”

D-Von wasn’t at Slammiversary, with Bully Ray later revealing that his tag team partner had to deal with a family matter.

With The Hardys now the TNA World Tag Team Champions, they will face Team 3D at Bound for Glory on October 12.
