Dakota Kai has taken to social media to issue a new statement after she was included in the WWE releases yesterday.
Kai was one of 17 names let go by the company, including six from the main roster in the form of herself, Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance.
This actually marks Kai’s second release from WWE, as she was released in April 2022 before quickly being brought back the following July for SummerSlam as part of the original formation of Damage CTRL alongside Bayley and IYO SKY.
After initially responding to her release with the gif of CJ from GTA San Andreas saying “Ah s**t, here we go again”, Kai has now issued a full statement following her departure.
She wrote:
Trying to get through all the messages and man, whether it’s from friends, family, colleagues, coaches, you guys… I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. That’s the stuff that matters.
I got to make memories, create the best friendships and travel the world. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities.
Gonna take a little time but just know… we are far from done. I’ve BEEN ready. Let’s go.
