WWE’s Deal With Another Wrestling Company Expires WWE

WWE’s deal with another wrestling company has expired after a partnership for several years according to a new report.

One of the last independent promotions to be featured on the WWE Network has now been removed.

German promotion wXw has reportedly left the WWE Network after the expiration of a deal between the two companies today.

According to PWInsider, this was not a case of the agreement being terminated by WWE, rather the contract expired.

Previously, WWE had planned a tiered WWE Network system which would include international independent promotions.

While the tiered plan was scrapped, promotions like PROGRESS and wXw were instead available on demand on the WWE Network.

While the Network no longer exists in America, with United States fans instead getting the content through Peacock, the ‘original’ Network persists internationally.

PWInsider’s report notes that wXw is now free to negotiate and sign deals with other streaming provides for the first time in years.

wXw shows will reportedly stream on YouTube going forward.
