An update has emerged on Rey Fenix WWE debut plans, with details emerging on the expected date for Fenix’ debut.
Since his brother Penta showed up on WWE Raw in January, it has been heavily speculated that Rey Fenix would eventually end up in WWE.
Following Fenix’ AEW departure, WWE appeared to share a big update on the luchador’s status on the March 14 SmackDown episode, with a vignette airing seemingly for Rey Fenix.
Cory Hays of PWNexus has now confirmed that this vignette was indeed promoting Fenix’ debut.
Per Hays (via Fightful Select), Fenix is expected to appear on WWE TV ‘in the next few weeks.’
While this vignette for Fenix aired on SmackDown, a previous report from WrestleVotes indicated that WWE has plans to present the team of Fenix and Penta as the Lucha Brothers.
The Lucha Brothers have won gold all over the world, holding tag team championships in numerous companies including AEW, AAA, TNA Wrestling, ROH and MLW.
Fenix is an established singles star in his own right, holding singles gold for the likes of AEW, AAA and Lucha Underground.
