WWE Denies Superstar’s Request To Move To NXT

WWE Denies Superstar’s Request To Move To NXT

Earlier today, Zelina Vega was released by WWE. It seems the main reason behind the release was related to WWE’s new policy requiring all performers to cease streaming on third-party applications like Twitch.

However, WrestleVotes is reporting this may have just been the final straw. They are saying there were tensions between Vega and WWE stemming from Vega’s husband, Aleister Black being denied a request to move back to NXT.

“There’s a bit more behind the scenes to the Zelina Vega release. Frustration from both sides is an understatement. While it can’t be directly tied to today’s news, Aleister Black recently requested to move back to NXT and was denied. Dissension amongst the parties involved.”

Aleister Black’s main roster run has been less than stellar. He spent several weeks hiding in a room begging for someone to fight him.

Then there were rumors he would get a repackaged character. He did get some near gear and an eye patch.

Black last feuded with Kevin Owens but has had very little to do since the WWE Draft. There has been no official response from Black about WWE releasing his wife.
