WWE
Following his recent departure from the company, former WWE star Donovan Dijak has won his first championship in six years.
After seven years with WWE, Donovan Dijak left the company after they decided to not renew his contract.
Since then, the former WWE NXT standout has made several appearances on the independent scene and was reportedly backstage at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
On July 13, Dijak captured his first championship in six years, winning the Ryse Wrestling Grand Championship.
Ryse Wrestling posted a photo of the new champion, tweeting:
OMG!! Donovan Dijak just won the Ryse Grand Championship!!
Dijak also took to social media to post a photo of himself with his new title. He tweeted:
Feast Your F**king Eyes.
Since departing WWE at the end of his contract on June 28, the 37-year-old has wasted zero time getting himself back in the ring, lining up several independent dates in the near future.
Donovan Dijak recently revealed when he first believed WWE would not renew his contract in a new interview, which you can read here.
