MVP has addressed his appearance at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI, where he confirmed that he will soon be leaving WWE.
While several WWE stars had been announced for the July 29 show, MVP surprised fans by making his own appearance, confronting Josh Barnett in the ring.
Issuing a challenge to Barnett for the next Bloodsport event, MVP confirmed that he will leave WWE when his current contract is up, noting:
“My contract with a company who I won’t mention right now is about to expire, and I’m not going back Josh. I’m not ready to retire yet!”
MVP has now taken to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Josh Barnett in the ring from Sunday night (July 29).
He captioned the photo:
Well, I went to Josh Barnett’s BLOODSPORT, and I challenged the warmaster.
Jiu-jitsu vs. Catch, The Ronin vs the Warmaster, Josh Barnett vs MVP!
MVP’s WWE contract is reportedly set to expire in mid-August.
