‘My Time Is Gonna Come’: WWE Star Reacts To Recent Departures WWE

A notable WWE name has addressed recenty announced departures from the company, sharing his “realist” take on his own career.

The beginning of June has already seen R-Truth, Carlito and Sarah Logan confirm that they are leaving the company due to WWE not renewing their contracts.

Hall of Famer Booker T reacted to recent releases on his Hall of Fame podcast.

The WWE NXT commentator heavily praised R-Truth, noting:

“A career like R-Truth’s, I don’t know if we’ll ever see another career like that as far the longevity he had in the business, being able to sustain in a dog-eat-dog world that it is.

“Being able to be that character and knowing exactly what the landscape of this business is all about. That’s why I always gave R-Truth so much props because so many guys do not understand the business. That dude, he stuck around. He stuck around for a reason. Big-ups to R-Truth.”

Booker T then shared his honest thoughts on the nature of the business, and his own eventual WWE exit, noting:

“It is what it is, it is what it is, it is what it is and like I say, everybody’s time comes. Trust me. Trust me. I’m waiting (laughs).

“My time is gonna come. It’s either I’m gonna walk away or they’re gonna tell you it’s time to walk away sooner or later. Am I right or wrong? I’m just a realist, man. Just a realist.”

Booker T has now given his blessing for a WWE Raw star to keep a tradition going, which you can read more about right here.
