Hall Of Famer Says This Storyline Made Current WWE Wrestler A Star WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has revealed their opinion that a storyline elevated a roster member to being a huge star.

With Dominik Mysterio’s involvement in Judgment Day not seemingly coming to an end any time soon as the faction stay united on WWE Raw, Brian “Road Dogg” James recently commented on the success of Dominik Mysterio.

On the recent Oh… You Didn’t Know? podcast, Road Dogg was asked if a storyline can turn a wrestler into a star, saying that they don’t necessarily have that result but that he believes wrestlers can catch on through good programs.

One such example was, he would go on to say, the success of Dominik Mysterio, stating:

“Dom probably has the most heat in professional wrestling right now, and it was all because of this story they did with Rey [Mysterio]…

“He’s a huge star right now, I don’t know what else to tell you.”

Road Dogg would go on to say that Dominik Mysterio generates heat in any arena that WWE visits.

He would further add that the young Mysterio’s transformation has taken place without an established main eventer to help it along.

James would conclude by saying:

“I don’t think you have to have two top guys at all if the story is interesting.”

Vince Russo has recently weighed in on the subject of Mysterio’s heat suggesting that WWE are piping in the crowd reaction.

Having competed against his father at WrestleMania 39, Dominik Mysterio recently spoke about the match.

It was also revealed that before the Rey Mysterio program started, Dominik may have been sent to NXT.
