Downstait Created WWE Entrance Theme Over One Weekend WWE

Justin Call of Downstait has revealed the fastest turnaround the band ever had on a WWE entrance theme, revealing they created a song over one weekend.

The American band collaborated on a number of WWE themes with Jim Johnston and recently revealed details of the process they undertook.

During an appearance on  the Ropes N Riffs Podcast, the Downstait guitarist revealed one now-former WWE star had their music created over a single weekend.

The WWE star in question was Alex Riley, who came to the ring to Say It To My Face, with Call explaining:

“We got the call Thursday, we flew out the next day, did the entire song over the weekend, and it debuted on Raw before we were able to get back from the airport.”

Riley signed with WWE in 2007 and would remain with the company until his release in May 2016.

His Downstait theme would be used from around June 2011 during his feud with The Miz.

More recently, Downstait provided Cody Rhodes with his theme “Kingdom”, which would be used in AEW and brought over to WWE when the star returned in 2022.
