A major WWE ‘free agency’ was revealed on Monday Night Raw as the 2023 WWE Draft continued (May 1).
Triple H kicked off the night’s festivities to announce the first round of picks on night two of the 2023 WWE Draft.
Before he announced the first picks for Raw and SmackDown, Triple H mentioned that Brock Lesnar had negotiated a “free agent” contract, meaning he can appear on both Raw and SmackDown after the draft.
In the first pick, WWE Raw selected the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley, which of course counteracts night one’s pick of Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair going to SmackDown.
Likewise, WWE SmackDown drafted the United States Champion, Austin Theory, the opposite of Raw drafting Intercontinental Champion Gunther on night one.
WWE Raw subsequently selected Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and finally to conclude round one of night two, WWE SmackDown selected Charlotte Flair.
