Tonight is draft night for WWE. Both today and Monday (October 4) will see the roster split between two brands for the next year, but a lot of the talent in question is still in the dark.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that WWE is once again keeping their draft plans close to their chest. Talent that spoke to Fightful have not been given any details as to where they would be landing.
Fightful was able to speak to top names from Raw, SmackDown and NXT, and as of the middle of this week, none had any idea where they would be landing in the draft.
One top WWE talent said that they expect it to be how it usually is, with them not knowing in advance. Fightful was also told that those stuck in limbo between NXT and the main roster (seemingly referring to Dakota Kai, Aliyah, Xia Li & Austin Theory, among others) were not told where they would be being drafted, if at all.
Fightful was also told that names in talent relations didn’t even know where things would be headed as of Wednesday.
