WWE star Drew McIntyre has addressed the photo he previously shared of himself alongside AEW TNT Champion Jack Perry.
With CM Punk and Drew McIntyre being at odds for most of the year, the duo have traded a number of shots online.
One of McIntyre’s shots certainly got fans talking, with the Scottish Warrior sharing (and promptly deleting) a photo with Jack Perry in July, following Punk notably being fired from AEW in September 2023 following a backstage altercation with Perry at All In London 2023.
Speaking with Gorilla Position, Drew McIntyre said he met Jack Perry when they were on the same flight.
McIntyre explained:
“On the same flight (McIntyre responded when asked how the photo with Jack Perry came about).
“He was just right in front of me. I had a chat with him. Lovely lad.
“His girlfriend’s really nice, flying to LA and just said, ‘Hey, we should take a picture together. We’re both wrestlers. I’ll put it on the internet. Give ya a little rub (McIntyre laughed),’ and people reacted crazy.
The legitimate backstage reaction to Drew McIntyre posting this photo has been revealed, which you can read more about right here.
McIntyre and Punk will face off in a strap match at WWE Bash In Berlin.
