Drew McIntyre Shares Hilarious CM Punk Meme After WWE SummerSlam

Drew McIntyre has reacted to his win over CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam, turning his rival into a hilarious meme following their match.

Punk made his return to the ring at the August 3 premium live event, wrestling his first match since his appearance in January’s Royal Rumble.

He faced off against Drew McIntyre in a bout which was officiated by special referee Seth Rollins.

After Punk was distracted by Seth Rollins and his stolen bracelet several times, Drew McIntyre ultimately picked up the victory, pinning the man who has cost him numerous championship matches over the past few months.

McIntyre has now taken to Twitter to turn CM Punk into a meme, sharing a photo of Punk with a speech bubble retweeting a viral tweet.

With the speech bubble, McIntyre made Punk say:

The haters said I couldn’t do it. And they were correct. Honestly great call from the haters.

This match was Punk’s first televised WWE singles match in over a decade.

While Punk faced off against Dominik Mysterio at two live events in December 2023, he hadn’t wrestled a televised one-on-one match since defeating Billy Gunn on the January 20, 2014 Raw episode.
