Injury Causes Top WWE Star To Miss Post-Holiday Events WWE

WWE sources have confirmed that a top WWE star is to miss live events for the post-Christmas period affecting the December 26 MSG main event.

According to PWInsider Drew McIntyre is reportedly not cleared to wrestle and won’t be part of the Madison Square Garden show on Monday.

He had been expected to be part of an eight-man tag team match that would have headlined the SmackDown WWE Live shows.

It’s now being reported that the main event for those shows will be The Usos vs Braun Strowman & Kevin Owens.

PWInsider reports that McIntyre is being given time away from in-ring action to heal from what was described as “a minor injury”.

He will, according to PWInsider, not be appearing in any capacity on the live events for next week. McIntyre last competed at a WWE Live event on November 27.

The main event for that show saw The Bloodline (Jimmy & Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa & Sami Zayn) taking on Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland), McIntyre and Kevin Owens.
